Travelling to and in Berlin
By Air
All major European national carriers offer direct flights to Berlin. From overseas you will most likely have to change in Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam or London. Berlin is also a major destination for low cost carriers.
The busiest Berlin airport is Tegel (TXL), about 8 km northwest of the city centre, which primarly serves destinations with Germany and Western Europe and the rest of the world.
Schönefeld (SXF), some 22 km southwest of the city centre, handles most flights to / from Eastern Europe. Schönefeld airport is a popular airport for low cost carriers, like Easyjet or Ryanair.
The third airport is the central, but tiny Tempelhof airport (THF) in southern Kreuzberg.
